I am Yuyanda

I'm currently painting a commissioned portrait I drew a while back in Photoshop CS6 using the "clipping mask" layer feature. The effect basically means that whatever I paint above the lineart layer will only show through the layer below or clipped to. So far so good but it's pretty painstaking due to the shear detail in my line work. Looking to finish this up early September time. Yuyanda's Blog of Art and Design, Animation and Illustration. 2017. Im currently working on a film poster design for a musical indie flick called God Help The Girl from Metrodome distribution due for release in 2014. The film stars Emily Browning (Suckerpunch) Hannah Murray (Game of Thrones) and Olly Alexander (lead singer of the British band Years and Years) and director Stuart Murdoch's debut film. The lineart features the main three characters from the film which I hope you will like. Following on from the finished character designs (see previous posts) I decided to composite a quick character design process which shows how I work. 3 stages which include the initial stick figure or skeleton with perspective, fleshing out the body and finally layering all the clothing, accessories and finer details.
